On Saturday, June 9, TPGS hosted a community appreciation event at the Findlay Community Centre.
Volunteers and community members braved the torrential downpour, enjoying one another's company and the awesome hot-dogs expertly grilled by the BBQ crew. HRM Councillor Jim Smith, District 9, mingled with the crowd and fabulous entertainment was provided by Wil Andrea and Lee Yuen-Rapati.
Our Community Van even ferried some of our guests home afterwards! The successful event enabled us to express our gratitude for the support we receive as well as make our programs more widely known.
We appreciate the generous donations for refreshments provided by Sobeys Penhorn, and Gloria McCluskey, HRM Councillor, District 5. We also acknowledge the on-going support of our work by MLA Marilyn More.
